Triple Eight launches livery for the 2016 V8 Supercars
Triple Eight Race Engineering has unveiled their livery for the 2016 V8 Supercars, the season where the team will expand to three cars with the addition of Shane van Gisbergen.
“We are very excited to have Shane onboard, I don’t think there is a Supercar fan out there that doesn’t smile at his on-track antics. He is a true racer and a likeable character; he will fit in perfectly here at the team,” said Mark Dutton, Team Manager.
The Kiwi will join multiple champions Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes, forming one of the strongest line-ups ever in the Australian championship.
“I’m pretty excited for this year; it has been a while since it was first announced, so it is a pretty cool feeling seeing the livery and everything coming together in the build-up for the season. I am very impressed with the team so far – it is easy to see why Red Bull Racing Australia has won so many races, Bathursts and Championships,” said Van Gisbergen.
The 2016 livery will be shown publicly for the first time this weekend at the 2016 Summernats at Canberra’s Exhibition Park.
