Dacia confirms 2016 STCC programme

Dacia Dealer Team has confirmed their entry to the 2016 Scandinavian Touring Car Championship with driver Mattias Andersson.
”The goal is to be in the top three of the championship and score Dacia’s first STCC victory,” said Andersson.

2016 marks the fourth season in the STCC for Dacia, with Andersson steadily climbing the championship order with eighth in 2013, sixth in 2014 and fifth this year.

”We have developed the team and reached better results each year. I am grateful for the continued support and trust from Dacia,” said Andersson.

Andersson scored seven podium finishes in 2015, but that elusive victory is still missing in the results.

”Both Dacia and our faithful customer wants to see Dacia on the circuits in 2016. We are hoping for a win in 2016, but the value of our programme is not only measured in results on the circuits. Our STCC commitment has also contributed to our sales success for the past years,” said Joakim Jöhncke, Brand Manager of Dacia Nordic.

The 2016 STCC season starts on the first of May at the Skövde airport circuit.
