Super Tourers to race at Knockhill in 2016
The HSCC Super Touring Car Challenge will make its first appearance at Knockhill as part of the David Leslie Memorial meeting, forming the final round of its 2016 season.
The series has seen two Scots battling at the front for the past three seasons in the shape of John Cleland and 2015 champion Stewart Whyte, with 2016 now offering both the chance to win in on home tarmac.
Also rejoining the calendar for 2016 is the Oulton Park Gold Cup, which was missed out for 2015 in favour of a support slot at the Rockingham round of the British Touring Car Championship.
The season will once again start at the Donington Historic Festival in May, before returning to the Historic Superprix at Brands Hatch in July, having raced at the circuit’s Masters Historic Festival last year.
The annual trip to Silverstone for the Classic continues to form the centrepiece of the season at the end of July, before moving on to the Oulton Park Gold Cup at the end of August.
Finally, the first trip to Knockhill will take place on the 10th and 11th of September, forming part of the David Leslie Memorial meeting.
