Chaz Mostert further underlined the dominance of Prodrive Racing Australia in the V8 Supercars Championship by claiming his third victory of 2015 in the third race of the weekend at Queensland Raceway.
Mostert started from pole position and controlled the race from then on, making it three wins in three races for the team.
Craig Lowndes started third in the Triple Eight Race Engineering Holden and made his way past previous race winner and championship leader Mark Winterbottom to finish second. Winterbottom claimed the final podium spot in third, securing vital points in the championship.
David Reynolds had a quiet race to finish fourth in his Prodrive-run Ford Falcon FG-X ahead of the Holden Racing Team duo of Garth Tander and James Courtney in fifth and sixth position respectively.
Will Davison had a strong final part of the race to finish seventh in the Erebus Motorsport Mercedes, making his way past reigning champion Jamie Whincup who had a trouble-hit race. The Triple Eight Race Engineering driver started fourth, but dropped back after having issues with one of the wheel guns during a pit stops to finish eighth.
Brad Jones Racing driver Jason Bright and Nissan Motorsport’s James Moffat rounded out the top ten.
The race ran its full length without a safety car interruption, with a furious Todd Kelly as the sole retirement of the race as the engine of his Nissan Altima failed with just three laps left.
