Dániel Nagy targeting podium on debut

TCR International Series rookie Dániel Nagy came third in his first outing at the wheel of a SEAT León Racer. The Hungarian is so happy he cannot believe he managed this result.

“I am so surprised to be here, it’s just incredible,” said the Zengo Motorsport driver. “I had raced here before but I’ve seen the León for the first time here this morning, so I’m even more surprised.”

The Hungarian teenager praised the level of the championship: “To be honest it’s fantastic to be among such high level drivers. It’s great to be in the top three and I really want to thank Zengo Motorsport for this opportunity.”

Nagy is not sure how he will fare against the more experienced colleagues, but is still confident ahead of tomorrow: “I really don’t know how things will pan out. All I will have to do is trying my best, but what I am sure of is I want a podium place and I will do my utmost to get that result.”

Nagy is in his maiden TCR weekend at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
