Agustin Canapino on pole in close Rafaela qualifying

Agustin Canapino claimed pole position in a close Super TC2000 qualifying session at Rafaela. The Team Peugeot Total Argentina beat Leonel Pernia and Damian Fineschi with just 84 thousands of a second separating the three.

Norberto Fontana claimed position four, but was close to three tenths of a second behind Canapino’s pole time.

Championship leader Facundo Chapur was fifth fastest for team Fiat Petronas, just 25 thousands of a second behind Fontana in fourth.

Mariano Werner claimed grid position six in his Ford Focus with Nestor Girolami in seventh and Team Toyota Argentina’s Matias Rossi in eighth.

The main race starts 12:40 tomorrow local time.
