Gianni Morbidelli on maximum ballast for Salzburg
Gianni Morbidelli scored the perfect weekend in Monza, Italy. The home hero collected maximum points by claiming pole position, as well as winning both races.
It is therefore obvious that the WestCoast Racing driver will be on maximum success ballast for next weekend’s race in Salzburg, Austria.
Craft-Bamboo Lukoil’s Jordi Gené will receive 20 kilos, as he bagged 30 points in Italy despite being forced to carry full ballast in his SEAT León Racer at the Temple of Speed.
Fellow SEAT driver Andrea Belicchi will have to carry an extra 10 kilos after scoring 26 points. The Target Competition driver bagged just one point more than Fernando Monje, who took the Campos Racing Opel Astra OPC to its maiden podium in Italy.
The Race of Austria will start this weekend at the fast Salzburgring track.
