Additional Super Touring race for Brands Hatch Indy circuit
There will be two Super Touring races on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit today following the aborted race on the Grand Prix circuit.
Sunday’s race, forming part of the Masters Historic Festival, was cancelled after just one lap following an incident between Paul Smith and Dave Jarman, resulting in the latter being taken to hospital.
At the time TouringCarTimes reported, with the information that was given at the time, that the race would not be rerun, but to make up for the lack of the race on the GP loop, Brands Hatch organisers have revised the timetable for today’s Masters Race Day on the Indy circuit.
The original schedule had a morning qualifying session and a twenty minute race in the afternoon, but now room has been made to allow for two Super Touring races in the afternoon, taking place at 16:15 and 17:35.
Full revised Super Touring timetable (all sessions 20 minutes)
Qualifying – 10:35
Race 1 – 16:15
Race 2 – 17:35
