Tom Coronel celebrates 25 years in motorsport with new livery

Tom Coronel is going to run a special livery in the FIA World Touring Car Championship season finale at Macau, celebrating 25 years in motorsport.
“I could not think of a better place to celebrate my 25 years in motorsport than Macau. It is my favourite circuit and I have so many fond memories of Macau. Therefore, we have created something special,” said Coronel.

The Dutchman made his motorsport debut in the Dutch Citroën AX Cup in 1990 and has since then raced a variety of single seater and touring car championships around the world.

His biggest WTCC achievements include two Yokohama Trophy titles, including four overall race victories and the Chevrolet driver intends to stay in the championship for next year.

“The FIA WTCC is my favourite category and it is my aim to stay in the series for 2015 as well. Of course, as a privateer driver, it is getting more and more difficult, but I have been fortunate enough to have had many loyal partners over the years and I hope we can get a package together for next year as well. Now, however, the focus is on Macau where we hopefully can have a great weekend to conclude the season,” said Coronel.

Coronel is currently placed seventh overall in the championship with three podium finishes.
