Markus Huggler and Jens Weimann share wins at Nürburgring
S2000 BMW drivers Markus Huggler and Jens Weimann shared the ADAC Procar races which went as support races to the 24 hours of Nürburgring. Huggler won the first race as Weimann had to retire with technical problems.
Huggler won the race and Division 1 by four seconds over Ford Fiesta driver Heiko Hammel who started from 19th position on the grid.
Alexander Rambow claimed the Division 2 honors ahead of Andreas Rinke and Ronny Reinsberger, with all three driving Mini Coopers.
Division 3 saw Steve Kirsch claiming yet another victory ahead of Thomas Tekaat. Dirk Lauth fought his way to third position and was right on the bumper of Tekaat in the end, but not being able to get past.
The second race of the Nürburgring weekend saw Weimann getting revenge after his race one retirement. The BMW 320si driver headed the field from lights to flag and won the race just over two seconds ahead of race one winner and fellow BMW driver Huggler, with Hammel again in third position.
Division 2 was, just as in the first race, won by Rambow, but this time with Ralf Glatzel in second position, having fought his way up through the field and getting past Rinke who had to settle for third position.
Kirsch once again put his Mini on top of Division 3, winning the class ahead of Tekaat and Kai Jordan.
The ADAC Procar continues at Hockenheim on July 25-26th.
