New set-up backfires for Mike Rockenfeller in Hungary
Current DTM champion, Audi’s Mike Rockenfeller, admitted a direction in set-up change backfired at the Hungaroring.
The Audi driver ran within the top-six in the early stages of the race, but eventually finished 10th overall.
“I wanted to drive a different set-up here,” admitted Rockenfeller after the race. “That didn’t work out, [and] the whole weekend was disappointing.
It doesn’t suit my style of driving [and, well] we learned our lesson from this.”
Despite only scoring one point, Rockenfeller currently lies second in the 2014 DTM championship with 31 points.
The Hungaroring winner, BMW’s Marco Wittmann, leads the championship with 50 points.
