Bruno Spengler not 100% satisfied with Oschersleben qualifying

BMW’s Bruno Spengler is not entirely satisfied with his seventh place grid lot at Oschersleben, after his Schnitzer prepared BMW M4 DTM was “missing something” in the final qualifying session.

The 2012 DTM title winner felt he was capable of qualifying higher, despite BMW running a 5 kilogram performance weight.

Everything was going very well until the third qualifying session, but then I was just missing something in the final session,” said Spengler. “I am not entirely happy, but anything can happen tomorrow.”

I’d like to say a big thank you to the team, who have worked really hard today. We are well prepared going into the race.”

Marco Wittmann was the best placed BMW driver in second, behind pole-sitter Miguel Molina. However, Wittmann – who took his first DTM career win at Hockenheim a fortnight ago – was just over 0.5 seconds off of the Audi driver.

DTM rookie Antonio Felix da Costa also built on his impressive series debut by qualifying his BMW M4 DTM in fourth.
