Russell Ingall set to announce 2014 plans tomorrow
Australian racing legend Russell Ingall is set to announce his racing plans tomorrow for the 2014 V8 Supercars season.
While it was announced ahead of 2013 that it was to be Ingall’s last full-time season, the 49-year-old is keen to continue.
“There is a lot of misconception, especially among the fan base, that I am walking away from the whole deal and that is far from it. If things were different and I had an opportunity to stay in the game I probably would,” said Ingall ahead of the 2013 season finale to the official championship site.
Rumours indicate that Ingall will announce a full-season deal with Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport, marking his 19th V8 Supercars season.
A press conference will be held 10.00 AEDT tomorrow, broadcasted live on Fox Sports News, where his plans will be revealed.
Ingall finished 15th overall in 2013 with third position as best result. His previous merits include the 2005 V8 Supercars title and two Bathurst 1000 victories, in 1995 and 1997.
