Will Davison joins Erebus Motorsport for 2014

Will Davison has now been confirmed to join Erebus Motorsport for the 2014 V8 Supercars season, as has been speculated for some while.
“It’s a major coup for us. Will is among the top three drivers in Australia, with a tremendous record of success over the past five seasons,” said Ryan Maddison, Erebus Motorsport CEO.

Davison left Ford Performance Racing after the 2013 season, and will be replaced by Chaz Mostert. Davison will instead drive a Mercedes AMG E63 alongside Lee Holdsworth at Erebus Motorsport.

The 31-year-old finished third overall last season and has driven full-time in the V8 Supercars Championship since 2006. Previous merits include the Australian Formula Ford title in 2001.

Erebus Motorsport announced late last year that it would reduce down from three to two cars in 2014. Tim Slade has left for Walkinshaw Racing while Maro Engel currently is out of a drive for the coming season.
