Oulton Park switches to International circuit in 2014
The fourth event of the 2014 British Touring car Championship at Oulton Park will switch to the International circuit layout, as opposed to the Island layout which has been used in recent years.
The race at the 2.69 mile Oulton Park International circuit will take place on June 9th next year. This year the event was dominated by Triple Eight Race Engineering, with Jason Plato taking pole position and winning races one and two in his MG6, with eventual champion Andrew Jordan triumphing in the reverse grid third race in the Eurotech Racing Honda Civic.
The International circuit has not been used by the BTCC since the 1996 season, when the two races were won by Schnitzer BMW’s Jo Winkelhock and TWR Volvo’s Rickard Rydell.
