Mattias Ekström confirmed for Race of Champions

Mattias Ekström has been confirmed to take part in this year’s Race of Champions and will team up with fellow Scandinavian Tom Kristensen.
”I have many happy memories from the Race Of Champions and I’m delighted to be back this year – and to be teaming up with Tom again,” said Ekström.

The Swede has won the Race of Champions three times, beating multiple F1 world champion Michael Schumacher twice.
”It’s always a pleasure to race against the world’s best drivers and I’ve had some strong results down the years. What helps me is that I’ve been lucky to race many good touring cars, sportscars and rally cars but everyone knows it is a unique event,” said Ekström.

This year’s Race of Champions will be held at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok on December 14-15th.
