Menu, Rydell, Larini, Soper & Harvey at Macau finale
Touring car stars Alain Menu, Rickard Rydell, Nicola Larini, Steve Soper, Tim Harvey, Jorg Müller, Duncan Huisman, Julian Bailey and Emanuele Pirro will take part in the Volkswagen Scirocco R China Masters Challenge at the 60th running of the Macau Grand Prix, as part of the many events taking place alongside the WTCC season finale.
The all-star list includes a number of local stars and racers who have had historic success at the circuit.
The competitors will all draw their cars by lottery, although in theory they’re all identical Volkswagen Scirocco R Cup cars as used in the Chinese support series.
The event is reminiscent of the 2004 British Touring Car masters event, in which a number of champions and front-runners from the British Championship competed at the Donington Park season finale in identical SEAT León Cupra cars.
Practice and qualifying takes place on the Thursday and Friday, with the eight lap race scheduled to take place at 11:20 local time on Saturday 16th November.
