Michel Nykjær to make DTC guest appearance at Jyllandsringen

Michel Nykjær, currently placed second overall in the WTCC, is going to make a guest appearance in the Danish Thundersport Championship.
“The Chevrolet I drive in the WTCC has got 350 HP and front wheel drive. Now I am getting 450 HP and rear wheel drive. I will be pleased if I can reach top five,” said Nykjær.

The Dane is going to face a lot of his former competitors from when he was racing in the DTC when it was a S2000 championshipm such as Jan Magnussen, John Nielsen and Casper Elgaard.
“They are all very fast and it is a really tough field to fight in,” said Nykjær.

The current DTC cars originates from the Swedish Camaro Cup concept which was turned in to V8 Thunder Cars for this season, featuring not only the Chevrolet Camaro body shell, but also the Ford Mustang and, next year, the Dodge Challenger.

The race at Jyllandsringen is held on the 24/25th of August, whilst the next WTCC race is at Sonoma on the 7/8th of September.
