Scott McLaughlin confirmed for GRM and Volvo until 2016

Scott McLaughlin has been confirmed to continue with Garry Rogers Motorsport until 2016 and is the first Volvo driver set for V8 Supercars next year.
“Very excited to announce I have signed a new deal with Garry Rogers Motorsport which will see me race with them till the end of the 2016 season!” said McLaughlin.

The 20-year-old made his step up to the main series of V8 Supercars this year for GRM after securing the Dunlop V8 Supercars Series title in 2012 for Stone Brothers Racing.
“Garry gave me my opportunity in the ‘Main’ series and I am looking forward to sticking by him and the team, and being apart of Volvo’s growth in V8 Supercars!” said McLaughlin.

Garry Rogers Motorsport secured a factory contract with Volvo earlier this year together with Swedish team Polestar Racing for next year to race two Volvo S60s in the V8 Supercars from 2014. The second driver has not yet been confirmed, while rumours indicate either Alexandre Prémat to continue with the team or that a Swedish driver may join them.
