Thed Björk tops first close test in Gothenburg

Championship leader Thed Björk topped the first test session at Gothenburg City Arena in a very close session. The Volvo Polestar Racing driver clocked the fastest time with just one minute left of the session, beating BMW driver Fredrik Larsson with a mere 0.062 seconds.

Saab driver Daniel Haglöf delivered the third best time, just 0.012 seconds from Larsson and five thousands of a second faster than Volvo driver Linus Ohlsson in fourth.

Jocke Mangs claimed fifth position and was first driver outside one tenth from the top time, ahead of Volvo duo Robert Dahlgren and Fredrik Ekblom in sixth and seventh.

Mattias Andersson, Richard Göransson and Robin Rudholm rounded off the top ten, with Rudholm crashing in to the barriers on first couple of laps.

STCC testing in Gothenburg continues at 17.30 CET with the final session of the day.
