Edoardo Piscopo to make Superstars debut at Brno

Edoardo Piscopo will make his Superstars Series debut at Brno in the RGA Sportmanship BMW M3 E92.

The Italian, who currently lives in London, has a strong career behind him despite being only 25 years old. After a good career in karting, the Italian took part in several national series in Formula 3, A1 GP and the GP2 Asia Series, before moving on to tin tops with a Porsche Carrera Cup Italy, finishing third in the championship.

Piscopo is currently involved in the Blancpain Endurance Series in the GT4 class, competing in a Lotus Evora alongside Leo and Greg Mansell.

“I’m really happy to make my debut in Brno, which is my favourite European track after Mugello”, said Piscopo. ” I’m excited to line-up against the top-notch opponents, people like Liuzzi, Morbidelli, Biagi and I’m definitely going to learn a lot from them. I’m sorry for not having joined from Monza although, on paper, the BMW should be much better suited in Czech Republic.”

Piscopo has not tested the M3 E92 yet, so he will only see the car at Brno, as he remarks:” I won’t have the chance to test prior to the weekend so every single lap will be key in getting comfortable with the car. I’ve raced open-wheel cars for quite some time and the BMW M3 should not be too different from that. I want to thank the team for giving me this opportunity and I’m looking forward to give 100% on-track.”

The Superstars Series will be back on track on May, 18th.
