Engström Motorsport completes first test with new Honda Civic

Engström Motorsport completed their first test with the new Honda Civic ahead of the 2013 Scandinavian Touring Car Championship season start.
“It is a well-balanced car that is easy to handle and fun to drive,” said driver and team owner Thomas Engström.

Engström missed the official pre-season test at Knutstorp two weeks ago and is short on time to catch up with the competing teams, most of them which have already completed a full season with the new cars.
“We know nothing of where we are compared to the other teams, but I am really looking forward to race against them. We have for different reasons not got the season build-up we wanted, but after the test today it almost feels like we have gained a full year,” said Engström with a smile.

The Honda team is currently on its way to Knutstorp for the first STCC race weekend of 2013, 3-4th of May, and Engström is excited.
“The only thing we know is that the competition is fierce, the very elite of Swedish racing is there this year and that is really motivating. It is going to be a really exciting season with a lot of close racing,” said Engström.
