Red Bull Racing Australia has launched their 2013 V8 Supercar program and revealed the design of their two Holden VF Commodores.
“Red Bull is known world-wide as a champion of all things motorsport and I believe with Triple Eight, we can build on the success of both organisations,” said Triple Eight Race Engineering owner Roland Dane.

Drivers are reigning champion Jamie Whincup and triple champion Craig Lowndes.
“It feels like a new beginning for me. I have hit the reset button. We are going to have this Red Bull Racing Australia wave going on. We are going to try make this wave as big as we can,” said Whincup.

The Holden duo is going to face opposition from 26 other drivers in new Car Of the Future specification cars from Ford, Holden, Nissan, Mercedes and Lowndes is not expecting an easy season.
“I think the Mercedes will be stronger than what we believe, and my gut feeling is that the Nissan may not be as fast during the initial stages, but they’ll obviously be on top of it. Then you’ve got the normal teams like HRT and FPR, and also teams like Tekno, who we supply the cars to. But of course, Clipsal will give us a clear indication of which teams have worked the hardest over Christmas.

“Well, our expectation is obviously to be on the podium – we’re working pretty hard as a team to make that a reality. Clipsal will come down to reliability. We still haven’t put a race run together, which is something all teams will be keen to do before Clipsal,” said Lowndes.
