Porsche Panamera returns to Superstars with Petri Corse

The Porsche Panamera is back in Superstars for the 2013 season after being absent since its debut season in 2010. Team Petri Corse is going to field two cars this season.
“We continued to invest in this very important car brand and we decided to join an high-level championship involving some tough competition in terms of car manufacturers,” said Simone Petri, Team Manager of Petri Corse.

The identity of the two drivers is yet to be revealed, but the team, that also runs two Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars in the GT series of the Superstars weekend, states them to be “two fast and experienced racers”.

The Porsche Panamera claimed four victories in its debut season in the hands of Fabrizio Giovanardi and team N-Technology. But the car has not been raced since 2010 and the team plans the first tests in February.
“Regarding the Panameras, I can anticipate that we’re working hard in terms of their technical development. we have the engine running at the dyno to know if there’s still room for more performance without compromising the reliability, while major upgrades are expected on the chassis,” said Petri.
