Timo Glock gets BMW M3 DTM test in Spain

Timo Glock is going to test a BMW M3 DTM in Spain this week, adding fuel to the speculation that the German may join the DTM this year.
“I have fond memories of my time with BMW Motorsport and am very excited about testing the BMW M3 DTM,” said Glock.

Glock is going to test the BMW at Valencia during the German manufacturer’s first test of 2013.
“We are pleased to be able to offer Timo Glock the opportunity to get to know our BMW M3 DTM in Valencia,” said BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt.

The 30-year-old drove for Marussia in Formula One since 2010, finishing 20th last year in the standings, but left the team last week. His career highlights include the GP2 title in 2007 and German Formula BMW champion in 2001.
“Timo has demonstrated his driving ability over many years, particularly in Formula One. It is made all the nicer by the fact that he is, to a certain degree, returning to his roots in testing for BMW Motorsport,” said Marquardt.
