Rob Austin Racing has confirmed that Will Bratt and Rob Austin will drive for the team in the 2013 British Touring Car Championship, with Wix Racing backing on Austin’s #13 Audi A4.

Wix first appeared on the team’s Audi at the 2012 season finale at Brands Hatch, and the firm will back Rob Austin for the full season in 2013. Austin will be joined by Will Bratt, who completed a partial campaign for the team in 2012. The team will be going into their third full season in the BTCC in the Next Generation Touring Car specification Audi A4.

“The partnership with WIX is fantastic for us and will provide the stability we need to be able to concentrate on winning races,” said Austin.

“It also allows us to take big steps forward in the development of the car.”

“I have always maintained that the potential is there to win races and this year we will show it. Certainly 2013 promises to be an exciting year. I am really looking forward to the challenge of the BTCC.”

The team will be continuing their association with Field Motorsport for the supply of their 2.0 litre turbocharged engines, based on a Volkswagen-Audi unit in the team’s two rear-wheel drive Audi A4s.
