Rubens Barrichello switches from IndyCar to Stock Car V8
Former Ferrari F1 driver Rubens Barrichello is going to switch from IndyCar to the Brazilian Stock Car V8 championship next year.
“After my 20-plus years representing Brazil racing all over the world, it is time to come home,” said Barrichello.
The Brazilian is going to drive for Peugeot team Full Time Sports, the team which he made a guest appearance for this year in the Stock Car V8.
“It will be amazing to race in my home country again, while allowing me to be closer to family. I have much enthusiasm for what this perfect fit will bring,” said Barrichello.
Barrichello retired from F1 in 2011 and raced for KV Racing Technology in IndyCar this year, finishing 12th in the championship.
