New livery for Triple Eight at Brands Hatch
Triple Eight Race Engineering will sport a new livery for the 2012 final weekend at Brands Hatch, with Jason Plato’s and Andy Neate’s cars running with the colours of Cancer Research UK.
The MG team are raising funds for Cancer Research this weekend, with fans encouraged to donate by texting the number on the car. The livery is in place of the team’s usual sponsorship logos of KX Energy and Momentum 99 fuel, who have moved to a subdued presence on the car this weekend.
Jason Plato heads into this weekend with a chance of winning his third drivers’ title, going in 15 points behind Gordon Shedden’s Honda.
The first time Jason Plato won the drivers’ title, back at Brands Hatch in 2001, his Vauxhall Astra was also sporting a special one-off livery, though on that occasion it was promoting a new road car for Vauxhall.
