V8 Supercars to provide live Bathurst coverage internationally
V8 Supercars has announced that they will be providing live race coverage of the 50th year of Bathurst to fans outside of Australia and New Zealand.
International fans will be able to watch the Bathurst 1000 live via the V8 Supercars website, which will be streaming the telecast using their official youtube channel (www.youtube.com/user/V8SupercarsOfficial).
In addition to this the race will be shown live or on delay in a number of international markets. Those outside Australia and New Zealand who don’t have access to live coverage will be able to watch through the live streaming.
V8 Supercars CEO David Malone had the following to say about the expanded coverage: “Our switchboard has been in meltdown with people looking for digital options to watch the race which is why we have worked alongside Telstra BigPond to provide an additional live stream for people outside of Australasia. This will mean fans who aren’t in international areas with fully live coverage that they can watch live on their PCs, tablets and mobile devices.”
The Bathurst 1000, round 21 of the 2012 V8 Supercars Championship, will be held on Sunday at 10:30 AEST and will consist of 161 laps.
