Mat Jackson excluded, Shedden wins race three

Mat Jackson has been excluded from race three after the Motorbase Performance Ford Focus ST exceeded its boost limit. Jackson’s exclusion combined with Plato’s penalty makes Gordon Shedden the winner of the race.

Jackson had scored the most points of any driver this weekend, and with the revised result would have jointly led the Championship with Jason Plato heading to the next round at Thruxton in two weeks time.

With Jackson’s exclusion, Honda Yuasa Racing Team’s Gordon Shedden is now the winner of race three after Plato received a two second penalty which reversed the positions between Shedden and Plato for the race. This means Shedden’s now taken his second win of the season following on from his victory in race two.

Plato now leads the Championship for Triple Eight MG with 84 points from Honda driver Matt Neal on 80 and Andrew Jordan in third in his independent Eurotech Racing Honda on 76, with Jackson now dropping to sixth in the standings.
