Triple Eight’s new MG6 takes to the track

Triple Eight unveiled their brand new MG6 GT at Silverstone this morning, with one car running in the media photography session.

The team’s new Next Generation Touring Car MG6 will be the first non-Vauxhall car that Triple Eight have competed with in the British Touring Car Championship.

Jason Plato was at the wheel as the car completed several laps during the media tracking photography section of Championship’s media day, but the team confirmed it won’t be taking part in the afternoon’s four hour test session.

Motorbase Performance also revealed the new livery the team will compete with this year on their three Ford Focus STs.

The cars drop the yellow from 2011 and now run in a predominantly black and red livery with title sponsorship from Redstone.
