Zest plans to run two cars in the ETC Cup

British-based team Zest Racecar Engineering plans to enter this year’s FIA European Touring Car Cup following the announcement that a new class has been added for single-make series such as the SEAT León Supercopa.

The team are regular competitors in the various SEAT Supercopa series, competing in the SEAT Sport backed French SEAT León Supercopa series in 2011 with Max Goff, who was classified fifth in the championship with several podium finishes in the championship which featured an average 25 car average grid.

“We are looking at entering two cars for the championship and are currently in discussions with a few drivers as well as looking out for drivers who are interested to run in the ETC,” said Team Principal Malcolm Cleland to TouringCarTimes.

“Whereever we have raced both in the UK and Europe, we have consistently provided our drivers with the opportunity to win races. Now having the chance to run in the ETC provides a superb platform to showcase both the team’s ability to operate at this level and the driver’s potential.”
