Tim Slade tests last new V8 Supercar for SBR
Tim Slade has shown off his new Lucky 7 livery for the 2012 season as he tested at Queensland Raceway, in what should be the last ever current specification V8 Supercar to be built.
From 2013 teams will switch over to the new Car of Tomorrow platform, and so Slade’s Ford Falcon FG is the last car built to the current regulations, built by Victoria based Stone Brothers Racing.
“The first laps in the new car were pretty cool, it’s a shame that we only get 20 laps,” said Tim Slade.
“I’d love to spend all day out there, but we have plenty of time for that at Sandown later in the week.”
“I think the livery looks fantastic,” added Slade.
“I thought last year’s car looked pretty cool, but I had a chance to look at the new car from a distance and it really stood out on the track.”
