Robert Dahlgren signs new four-year contract with Volvo
Robert Dahlgren has signed a new four-year contract with Volvo Polestar Racing and the Swede is going to take part in the new TTA next year.
“I am really glad to extend my contract with Volvo Polestar Racing. I really like it here, the team is really professional and it is going to be exciting to race in the new TTA,” said Dahlgren.
Dahlgren has raced for Volvo since 2004 with three championship runner-up positions, 17 victories and 39 podium finishes.
“We are of course happy to extend the cooperation with Robert. He is an essential part of Volvo’s racing program with Polestar and we are looking forward to new success with him in the TTA,” said Derek Crabb, Executive Director for Motorsport at Volvo Cars.
Volvo is going to run four S60s in the TTA next year with Fredrik Ekblom and Thed Björk previously confirmed.
The plans for Volvo and the FIA World Touring Car Championship remains to be determined. The Swedish manufacturer has not yet made the decision public whether they are going to continue for 2012 and the number of cars in that case.
