Norway to follow Denmark with Camaro Cup-based NTCC

Norway is planning to follow the Danish plans of using Camaro Cup cars as base for a silhouette championship called Norwegian Thunder Car Championship, NTCC. Danish DTC organizers DTC Motorsport A/S recently announced the switch to Camaro Cup cars in a championship called Danish Thundersport Championship.

The NTCC is planned to be started by the Norwegian Rune Næss, who has run the championship Seven Racing in Norway, and a program for the championship has been presented to the Norwegian Motorsport Federation.

The Norwegian organisers are planning to allow different silhouettes for the cars, not only the Camaro version.
“The class is going to be based on Camaro Cup, but we will later on expand with more silhouettes,” said Næss.

NTCC is planning to run five to six race weekends in Norway in 2012, as well as taking part in a planned Scandinavian Camaro Cup championship with drivers from Denmark, Sweden and Finland.
