Thorney Motorsport Vauxhall takes to the track

The NGTC-specification Vauxhall Insignia of Thorney Motorsport set its first laps of the Silverstone circuit, a day later than scheduled on Sunday morning.

John Thorne set a few laps at just after 9am in the BTCC’s latest offering. The initial plan was for the car to go out before the 6pm circuit curfew on Saturday, but the team missed the deadline.

The Insignia will now be permitted to take part in the race at the discretion of TOCA, starting from the back of the grid in 30th place.
