Frédéric Bouvy leaves the Belgian Touring Car Series

Belgian Touring Car Series (BTCS) triple champion Frédéric Bouvy has left the series ahead of this weekend’s penultimate round of the championship at Zolder.

The reigning champion, who is only 5.5 points behind the Kia driver pairing of Phillipe Steveny and Didier de Radigues in the standings has decided to focus on the Belcar GT series, and has relinquished his seat in he No.1 Delahaye Racing Renault Mégane to the 22-year-old Belgian Ludovic Sougnez, who will race alongside Christian Kelders

Sougnez and Kelders were third fastest in the first session, with the Neri Competition Volvo S60 of Vincent Radermecker and Eric van de Poele setting the benchmark.
