Schumacher sets the pace at Brands Hatch

Ralf Schumacher topped the second practice session at Brands Hatch. The former F1 driver lapped the short Brands Hatch Indy circuit in 41.948 seconds, just nine thousands of a second faster than home racer Gary Paffett.

Jamie Green made it two Brits in the top three, lapping just four thousands of a second slower than fellow Mercedes driver and country man Paffett.

Mike Rockenfeller was best Audi driver in fourth, 0.015 seconds behind Schumacher’s time. Filipe Albuquerque claimed position five ahead of championship rivals Martin Tomczyk and Bruno Spengler.

Christian Vietoris set the eighth fastest time ahead of Miguel Molina and Timo Scheider.

The top ten drivers were covered within just 0.195 seconds.
