Miguel Molina fastest at Brands Hatch

Spanish Audi driver Miguel Molina topped the first free practice session at Brands Hatch, lapping the short Indy circuit in 42.776. Edoardo Mortara ensured an Audi 1-2 with a lap time that was just 0.036 seconds slower.

Maro Engel was best Mercedes driver in third ahead of former F1 driver David Coulthard in fourth, both of them within one tenth of Molina’s lap time.

Mike Rockenfeller claimed fifth fastest time ahead of Timo Scheider and Ralf Schumacher. Christian Vietoris was 0.179 seconds behind Molina in eighth ahead of Mattias Ekström and Renger van der Zande.

The short Brands Hatch Indy provided close lap times as usual with the entire 18 car field covered within 0.790 seconds.
