Chevrolet confirms support for STCC

Chevrolet Sweden has confirmed its support for the future plans of the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship organisers.
“STCC offers us a great marketing platform and we support the decision that has been taken,” said Jonas Ahnve, MD for Chevrolet Sweden.

Chevrolet has taken part in the championship in various degrees of involvement since 2007, the team takes part in the championship this year with two cars for Rickard Rydell and Viktor Hallrup.

“We are convinced that STCC’s future lies in a strong relationship with the car industry and we are happy that we get an opportunity to continue our efforts during 2012,” said Ahnve.

The team has not confirmed officially yet whether they are going to be on the grid for 2012.

“We have been informed of STCC’s plans for the future and we are looking in a positive way for a continued effort,” said Ahnve.
