Johan Stureson breaks in to the top three
Johan Stureson cracked in to the top three of the drivers championship after the STCC weekend at Karlskoga.
“We had a good weekend and we are in for a championship top three finish for real now,” said Stureson.
The BMW driver finished second in the second race after a hard fight with both pole man Roger Eriksson and double race winner Richard Göransson, moving him up to third in the championship.
“It was a tough race, even though I lost a victory, I won a second place and gained a lot of important points,” said Stureson.
Next up for Stureson and STCC is Jyllandsringen in two weeks, the very track where he scored a victory at earlier this season.
“We have got Jyllandsringen and my home track Knutstorp ahead of us, tracks that I am fast at. It looks good for the remaining part of the season,” said Stureson.
Stureson is 32 points behind Rickard Rydell in second and three points ahead of Tommy Rustad in fourth.
