Martin Byford tests VW Golf at Brands Hatch

New BTCC driver Martin Byford has tested the AmD Milltek Racing Volkswagen Golf at the Brands Hatch circuit today in preperation for his BTCC debut at Snetterton in three weeks time.

The 2007 Renault Clio Cup UK champion had his first experience of the team’s 2.0 litre turbocharged VW Golf since being confirmed as the team’s new driver at the Kent circuit on an open test day.

Also testing at the circuit were BTCC independents’ points leaders Motorbase Performance, with current driver Mat Jackson, their Porsche Carrera Cup UK driver George Richardson and former driver Jonathan Adam all testing the Airwaves Racing Ford Focus ST.
