Victory for Kia again in race two
Didier de Radiguès and Philippe Stéveny took victory again at Spa-Francorchamps in race two, battling off the two Delahaye Racing Renault Méganes of Lémeret and Bouvy.
The win in the second race saw the Kia Buy Way team’s drivers re-take the lead of the Belgian Touring Car Series from triple-champion Frédéric Bouvy and his second driver Christian Kelders.
The Kia Pro_Cee’d crossed the line just 1.7 seconds ahead of the No.2 Delahaye Mégane of Edouard Mondron & Stéphane Lémeret, with Fred Bouvy & Christian Kelders third in the No.1 machine.
Delahaye Racing enjoyed a strong result with their third car finishing fourth, just over a minute down on the winners, with the ‘G’ category RaceCar of Helary Racing Team finishing fifth with Eric Helary & Frederic Schmit onboard.
The Chad Racing Kia Pro_Cee’d of all British pairing Iain Dockerill & Tom Ferrier finished sixth, ahead of Eric Qvick and Steve Vanbellingen, who’d taken the win in the T3 class.
It was a terrible race for the Volvo S60 Racing team, with Vincent Radermecker and Eric van de Poele out of the race with five laps to go, losing ground in the championship to the Delahaye Racing and Kia Buy Way teams.
