Volkswagen pleased with pre-season testing

The Volkswagen Team Biogas.se completed their penultimate test last week ahead of the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship premiere.
“We have had a couple of good test days with many valuable laps. We have worked hard on improving our weak points, so I think we are going to have a smoother performance curve this year,” said team principle Tommy Kristoffersson.

The number one driver of the team, Fredrik Ekblom, is clear on his goals ahead of the season.

“We are going to win the STCC, either the team or drivers championship, hopefully both. That is always the ultimate goal when you are entering any type of competition,” said Ekblom.

Patrik Olsson is partnering Ekblom in the championship, just as in the past two seasons, and the young Swede is pleased with the pre-season test work.

“The tests have been successful, so we are looking forward to a long and exciting season with a lot of success hopefully,” said Olsson.

The STCC field heads to Knutstorp tomorrow for the first official test of the year.
