Rob Austin Racing at Brands Hatch

Rob Austin Racing have made it to Brands Hatch for the opening round of the 2011 British Touring Car Championship season. The team’s white and pink NGTC-specification Audi A4 is due to take to the track at 9:55am for Free Practice.

After missing the season’s media day launch just nine days ago, fears were arisen that the team may not be present for the first round of the season. The team’s appearance means there will at least be 23 cars in the paddock if not the track for the first round of the 2011, with a further four scheduled to join in as the season progresses, including a second car for Rob Austin Racing.

Rob Austin Racing are fielding the third full Next Generation Touring Car specification car in the championship with their rear-wheel drive Audi, and the first car not built to the Toyota Avensis TOCA Prototype ‘template’.
