21 cars entered for STCC 2011
The entry deadline for the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship 2011 passed yesterday and the organization revealed that 21 cars are entered for the championship as of today.
Championship boss Bob Huzell is pleased with the number of entries for the first year of the new Scandinavian championship that has been formed from the Swedish and Danish championships.
“It is looking really good. Compared to last year we have more entered cars at this point of the year and there will usually be some additional entries,” said Huzell.
The official entry list has not been revealed yet, but TouringCarTimes has put together a predicted list for the coming season.
The list features 21 drivers in seven different makes, Alfa Romeo, BMW, Chevrolet, Honda, SEAT, Volvo, Volkswagen.
The Danish entries are according to our information scarce with Jason Watt being the sole so far confirmed entry and not for a full season. Jan Magnussen, who was expected to take part in the series, earlier today confirmed his switch to the support series Camaro Cup.
