Jesper Sylvest remains in hospital
Jesper Sylvest crashed hard in the Danish Touring Car Championship finale at Jyllandsringen yesterday. The Dane was taken to hospital where the first examinations showed bruising of the kidneys, lungs as well as a strong concussion.
Sylvest was driving a Chevrolet Lacetti in the race and went off after contact with Michael Outzen. The Lacetti struk an earth wall on the infield of the track, badly damaging the car.
Sylvest is going to remain in the Aarhus Kommune-hospital for observation for another 24 hours.
The DTC organization reports that Sylvest is conscious and in good spirits and did not wait for long until asking who became champion.
TouringCarTimes wishes Sylvest a speedy recovery.
