First victory for Thed Björk since 2008

Thed Björk scored his first victory since 2008, heading a BMW 1-2-3-4 in the second Scandinavian race at Jyllandsringen. The Flash Engineering-driver had pole position thanks to the reversed grid and held the lead from start to finish.
“This is just so nice! I managed to pull up a gap and stayed cool after the safety car session, I am more than pleased,” said Björk.

Björk scored the first “Scandinavian triple”, winning the STCC, DTC and Scandinavian Touring Car Cup races, thanks to being entered in all three championships.

Robert Schlünssen finished a strong second, just 0.660 seconds behind Björk. The German got past Casper Elgaard earlier in the race with a nice move.

Elgaard managed to keep third, despite the best attempts from Richard Göransson to get past.

Jason Watt finished fifth ahead of race one winner James Thompson. Robert Dahlgren, who headed the STCC drivers championship up until the previous race, had to see the points gap in the championship to Göransson get even bigger.

The Volvo-driver was unable to make ground from sixth on the grid, lost one position to Thompson early in the race and finished seventh. Göransson heads the championship with 17 points ahead of Dahlgren.

Tommy Rustad finished eight ahead of the struggling Volkswagen-drivers Fredrik Ekblom and Patrik Olsson.
