Yvan Muller to take part in WRC France
Chevrolet driver Yvan Muller is going to take part in the World Rally Championship event in France, driving a Citroën Xsara.
“If circuit racing has become my speciality, I believe it is important to welcome new experiences,” said Muller.
Gilles Mondésir has been appointed co-driver for Muller in the tarmac rally that takes place in the Alsace region, near the German border in France, with start on October the 1st.
While Muller never before has taken part in a rally at this level, it is something the Frenchman has ben longing to do.
“Rallying at this level has always been something I would have liked to do, and today I’m very proud to see the Rally Of France project become a reality. It’s also a great chance to re-discover the roads around my own home!” said Muller.
Muller is going to drive the Citroën Xsara that Petter Solberg drove in the WRC last year.
