DTM to race at Munich Olympic Stadium

The DTM series will add a special event to its calendar for 2011, as the series will hold a special event at the city of Munich’s Olympic Stadium.

The venue will feature a specially designed circuit, 1,192 metres long constructed and run under the roof of the stadium, which was built in 1972 for the Olympic Games at the Bavarian capital.

“This is a great perspective for Munich. After all, the city is also an important location for the international automotive industry” said stadium director Ralph Huber.

“With this event, we will set a new benchmark”, says Hans Werner Aufrecht. “I am happy that the DTM is coming to the fans. The DTM fans can look forward to a very special atmosphere.”
